The Government of Yukon and the Government of Canada have signed a five-year extension of the Canada-Yukon Early Learning and Child Care Agreement, now running through March 31, 2031. The extension provides approximately $74 million, including a 3 per cent annual funding increase for four years starting in 2027–28 – stability that matters for the territory’s small but mighty educator workforce.
