Risky play is a powerful driver of learning, confidence, and resilience. This engaging workshop explores what risky (or adventurous) play truly is and why it plays a critical role in healthy child development. Participants will examine how to support risky play through developmentally appropriate practices, balancing safety with meaningful challenge. The session also focuses on the educator’s role in facilitating—not restricting—risky play, equipping participants with practical strategies to create environments where children can test limits, build competence, and grow through supported risk-taking.
