Course intro
TOPP KIDS’ complete safety and emergency response training for every staff member. It starts with why we drill — how muscle memory keeps children and teams calm when it matters most — then works through the response for every emergency: lockdown and security, missing children, medical and first aid, evacuation and fire, severe weather, difficult adults and custody, supervision, serious and legal incidents, workplace safety and staff wellbeing, and parent and school communication. Built from the TOPP KIDS Policy Bank, the OHS procedures, and our emergency response app, it turns “what do I do?” into an automatic, confident response.
Who it’s for
Every TOPP KIDS staff member — frontline educators, Room Leads, Program Coordinators, and the support team. First-time training and an annual refresher.
Format
Twelve short response modules plus a final drill, each grounded in real TOPP KIDS procedures, with the emergency app as your live field reference. About 30 to 40 minutes.
How it works
The training runs as twelve modules plus a final drill. Each module ends with a few knowledge-check questions, and you must answer them correctly before you can move on — so the key responses stick. Finish the Final Drill to earn your Certified Emergency Responder badge.
