Excellence in Pedagogical Support – Support Team Training

Excellence in Pedagogical Support is TOPP KIDS’ signature leadership development program for Support Team members—the mentors, champions, and culture-keepers who guide our organization forward. Designed for Program Support Managers, Quality Assurance Managers, Professional Development Managers, Curriculum Development Managers, and Operations Managers, this training equips our leaders with the skills, mindset, and pedagogical expertise needed to help elevate every program, every educator, and every child’s experience.

Participants will strengthen their mastery of coaching and pedagogical development, learn to lead with integrity and consistency, and refine their ability to approach crisis management, customer service, and difficult conversations with families, team members, and community members confidently and compassionately.

A core component of this training is understanding the foundations of Trauma-Informed Care—recognizing signs of stress, responding with empathy, and supporting both children and staff in ways that build regulation, safety, and trust. Leaders will also explore how to apply Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs to teams and staff, ensuring that psychological safety, belonging, and professional confidence are supported before expecting higher-level performance, innovation, or leadership.

As brand ambassadors and organizational leaders, Support Team members will examine how to model TOPP KIDS’ values, steward a thriving culture, and uphold quality, safety, and continuous growth across all programs.

This training builds the backbone of our organization—leaders who inspire, empower, and elevate our teams while ensuring that every child experiences a safe, engaging, relationship-rich environment where they can truly thrive.
