CCPA’s tenth annual fee report: six provinces and territories at or below $10 a day
The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives has released its tenth annual child care fee survey, assessing progress toward the April 2026 $10-a-day target. Six of 13 provinces and territories – Nunavut, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador – have already met or exceeded the target, while infant fees in Ontario cities still average about $22 a day and Alberta’s set fees sit at $15.03 a day.
