Who we are
Since 2018, ELCC & Community Development has been supporting educators, leaders, and organizations in building a stronger future for the early learning and child care sector. What began with Alberta’s educators has grown into a warm, practical home base for professional growth — a place where the people who care for children can find learning that cares for them, too.
Through engaging online and in-person professional learning, inspiring conferences, sector-leading resources, and broader workforce development opportunities, we help grow the skills, confidence, and impact of professionals across the sector. We also work in partnership with professional learning providers from across Alberta, Canada, and North America — connecting organizations seeking high-quality learning with trusted providers who help strengthen practice.
Much of what you’ll find here — presenters, keynotes and featured content — comes from independent voices across the sector: we source it and bring it together in one place. What’s ours is the connecting: consulting, the PD opportunities we host ourselves, and a welcoming space teams can book for their own professional learning days.

A curated, Canada-wide directory of workshops, courses, and sector events — searchable by series, province, and format. Certificates and credit hours vary by provider, so there is a fit for every goal.
Funding Guidance
Plain-language guides to provincial and federal professional learning funding, so cost never has to be the reason great learning waits.
Resources & Hubs
Practical toolkits, family resources, and dedicated hubs for educators and leaders — built to be used on real days in real programs.
Consulting & Partnership
Hands-on consulting for school-age and early learning organizations — program reviews, leadership coaching and quality improvement — plus connection: we help providers share their opportunities and programs find the right learning partners.
