2026 national survey of child care providers now underway at Statistics Canada

The 2026 Canadian Survey on the Provision of Child Care Services collected data from February 11 to June 30, 2026, reaching licensed and unlicensed, home-based and centre-based providers across the country. The survey gathers detail on staffing, enrolment, daily fees, capacity and operating funds, and will be combined with the new child care worker survey to paint a fuller picture of the sector.
